Presents!

Nila and Jonas kindly helped her unwrap her presents. She got a little pony from Nila, a rattle and georgeous dress from grandma and Papa and a doll from Jason and I. She actually loved the doll and reached right for it. Then when she was on the ground, she would grab it's hand and drag it behind her as she skooched around.

Happy 1st Birthday Lillian!

Lillian turned one last week Monday. We had a little family birthday party for her. The kids and I spent all Monday decorating, baking and wrapping presents. Lilly was super excited when she seemed to realize that all the hupla was for her. She loved the cake - who wouldn't, it is pure chocolate.

Kid Garden

We finally got around to putting in the kid garden last weekend. The kids love this because I let them pick any plants they want to put in it. We have strawberries and sunflowers like before, but they chose a strange assortment of annuals too. We already have baby sunflowers! They are suppose to reach anywhere from 6-8 feet tall so I am super excited to see them grow.

Last week Jason and I discovered this when we went up to bed....

We also discovered this disaster in the tub. That is all the shampoo and conditioner from the new bottles I just bought.

River Bank Run

Jas ran the 10K this year. We all got up to eat breakfast with him and wish him good luck. This is actually a bigger deal than you would think because usually I try and lounge in bed for as long as possible on a Saturday morning. He was back by 9:30 and he ran really well (especially for only having run four times since the Irish Jig in March...I know, it is annoying how good of a runner he is.)

Personal Portraits Jonas style

Grandma and Papa were over for dinner on Sunday and Jonas started drawing portriats of each of us. I am proud to say that he started with mine. This is pretty much the first time he has shown any interest in drawing at all. We all posed with our drawings - but the pic is a bit blurry. You can just make out the look of pride on Jonas' face!

Free entertainment

We pulled into the driveway after preschool and found an awesome digger in the neighbor's backyard. I don't even want to ask how much that home repair cost....but it was an hour of free entertainment for us.

The girl can not hold her self up.

So Lilly has done this three times now, she is in her seat and we are usually on our way out the door just before her nap and she just can not hold her self up.
