You have been Boo'ed

So someone rang our doorbell the other night and there was a small bag outside with some info inside. Apparently we were Boo'ed. Nila had to make up two boo bags and drop them off at two other kids houses on our street. She made one bag (the one on the left) and her friend made up the other. We went out and Boo'ed two other people right before bed time. Nila and I hid behind a tree when they came out and got their treats. Too cute.

Can you feel the sad?

Jonas walked up to the stove and touched a pan yesterday, he has been 100% great about this but for some reason forgot, Sarah burst into action and he was scared more than hurt. One day later he is fine and does not even have a mark on his hand.

Jonas is always super gentle with Lilly, he always walks up to her and says "Hi baby Lilly." and will touch her face or give her a little hug.

We invited Grandma and Grandpa over for dinner last weekend, Lilly loves the extra attention.

That Boy

Jonas Jonas Jonas, the kid is potty training and what a rough couple of weeks it has been "Mostly for Sarah". A couple of weekends ago he was still having some issues but was upstairs washing his hands, we heard the water running, and after awhile still heard the water running, I ran up to find him washing his hands with Sarahs hand lotion. Nice.

So Friday night Sarah and I talked about repainting the bathroom. It is funny how one thing snowballs into another when you have a hammer and a crowbar.

Big Kid Scooter

Sarah is working on potty training Jonas, he needed some incentive and has been trying to ride "Molly's big kid scuuter" So Sarah went and got one for each of the kids. Jonas LOVES it and is actually kind of good. He falls every once in awhile but just shakes it off. If you ask him "Do you want me to pick you up and carry your scooter?" he just says "No I ok, I be carefuul."

Nila actually asked me to take a photo of her "Posing with her scooter". Seriously.

KITCHEN FLOOR

So I have been working a lot of hours, neither of us have been getting much sleep (Lilly still gets up 2 to 3 times a night and Jonas has been up at midnight almost every night for the last couple of weeks) we are short on funds (welcome to home ownership) and pretty much overwhelmed. So we decided to rip down the wallpaper in our downstairs bathroom, and rip out the floor. We have been talking about redoing the floors since we moved in. The linoleum has lost all of its shiny coating and even after a hour of scrubbing it is still dirty.

Well after a day of work the floor is all ripped up, the bathroom is stripped and we are ready to go.

Jonas - Jonas - Jonas

So a couple of Jonas stories. This morning he wakes up early and I go in and say.
Jason: "Hi big guy."
Jonas: "I not big guy, I Jonas and Bonus."
------

Our street is not super busy but we do have some cars and Jonas is much to small to be in the road. 90% of the time he is good and rides his car up and down our sidewalk. Yesterday Sarah was out on a walk and I went in to check on Lilly during her nap and came out and... NO JONAS.. I look across the street and three houses down and see one of the neighbor kids on his car but NO JONAS... I was only inside for like 30 seconds.

So I truck down there and say high to Nate (the not jonas kid on the car) and say high and go inside. Well I guess Kate (the not Jonas kids mom) walked downstairs in her house and asked her husband (on couch watching football) where is Nate. His response is, right behind me in the toy room. Her response is no that is Jonas. So I am in my house not knowing where my kid is and Mark from a couple of houses down does not know where his kid is.... Ah parenthood.

On the way home we had another indecent with him going in the road and he got his car put up and a very stern talking to. Tonight (the next day) he is in bed and asked me for a book to read, I got him one and stood there waiting for a "thank you". He was looking back at me and I finally said "Jonas." He looked back and said "Jonas no go in road." I had not mentioned this since the night prior, looks like he got the message.

ArtPrize 2010

After church today we went downtown to the ArtPrize Competition. What a great time, lots of cool things all over downtown GR. The kids kept seeing things, pointing and saying More Art... Jonas even pointed at a over flowing garbage can can labeled it "Art". Great fall day to be outside.
