Stroller cleaning

We had a stroller cleaning today to get all the winter mud off the strollers and get them presentable again. Nila had a good suggestion for the division of labor.

"Mama, you scrub them down, I will hose them off and Jonas can watch them dry." I mumbled sure to this plan, but then all hell broke loose when Jonas was not "watching them dry" as well as Nila thought he should. After Nila hosed them off she pretty much went crazy with the sprayer on the hose and soaked everything in site including the entire inside of the garage (I was inside for my 100th bathroom break of the afternoon). After than Jonas got into the mud and there was just no turning back. Jason is building the sandbox tomorrow...we need it!

The nailpolish disaster

The other day at Target I let Nila pick out some nailpolish. She was just DYING to put it on as soon as we got home because "she knows how to paint her nails now because her big friends taught her". Being completely exhausted I put Jonas to bed and then left her too it - outside of course. About a half hour later she came in with polish CAKED on her hands and feet. It took me half a bottle of remover and about 25 minutes to get it all off. Yes, she used half a bottle of nailpolish in one sitting. That's what you get for trusting a four year old.

Baby 3 Update

This may be one of only three pictures of this pregnancy. We only have three weeks left! We are still trying to pull together all the baby stuff and get it all ready. We just got Jonas a new crib so that we can use our old crib for the new baby. I am not sure how I feel about having to buy another crib - but we got it cheap off craigs list so at least that is good. Jason is done painting both the kid's room and the nursery so I am just trying to finish washing all the baby clothes and blankets and stuff and we will be set.

We did run into a minor carseat problem - three won't fit in either of our cars. We actually were expecting this to happen, but have put off even looking into getting a new car until we could get settled in the new house. Now with just three weeks left to go we are a bit under the gun to a van quick.

Overall I am feeling much better with this pregnancy than I had with my last...which makes me think it might be a girl. Or a boy. Actually, I have NO idea at all. We are all so excited to meet you little one! Come out soon...but not for another three weeks because you need to be all finished growing.

Montana and Nila played all weekend long. The kids were super exhausted and slept the whole way back and then went to bed early. Thanks again Marika and Adam for a great weekend!!

We celebrated Jason's birthday. You may not see it well, but we had to improvise on the candles, three train candles and a number two...32! Happy Birthday my love!

Flowers

We stopped at the Old General Store for a snack and flower picking. No pictures from inside - I guess they sell them for movies and stuff.

Baby Tripp

Baby Tripp is too good. He only cried once or twice all weekend and that was because he just got his shots. He is so happy and it is amazing how responsive he is. If you look at him at all he gets this big smile on his face and starts cooing at you. So wonderful to see.

Marika Birthday Weekend

Finally some pics from our weekend up north visiting Marika and her family. It was a very relaxed few days. We basically just let the kids run wild playing at the house and sat around talking. We did make it out of the house for lunch on Saturday and visited Old Lighthouse Point and went into town a bit, but with my bum foot and a new baby and four other kids we were pretty happy to just hang at the house.

We need a sandbox

We are trying to catch up. At least Jason is taking pictures again so that shows that life is slowing down a bit. It is crazy to think that Jas did not take 1 picture for over three weeks. This picture is from a few weeks back when we first started to tackle the yard. Jonas was fascinated with a both bugs and dirt. We need a sandbox desperately because now Jonas just digs in the flower bed (this is a loose term - there are only like two plants in there).

Happy Birthday to Me

Wow, we have had a rough couple of weeks. Sarah was in Florida with her family for a week and I worked like crazy, while she was gone she caught a viral infection and ended up in the hospital in Fl. for a night. She got back and I took Monday off then got sick that night with the same thing I think Sarah had and spent the night in the bathroom. I slept some that night and the entire day Tuesday and Tuesday night. We started to get back on our feet then Sarah twisted her ankle on Monday walking down the stairs and had to spend three days on the couch. Her family came over and helped us out a ton. This weekend we are all up at our friends Marika and Adams for the weekend. I took 205 photos today so I will be posting again soon.

Anyways we are still alive and kicking and trying to stay above water. Baby three is due to arrive on May 22nd 2010 and then life starts doing backflips again.

Sorry for not posting in awhile.. See you all again soon.

The butterflies

Right before we left for Florida we took the kids to the butterfly exhibit at Fredrick Meijer Gardens. We decided to join since it is so close and they have such cool things for the kids to do during the year. The butterflies were awesome! There were just hundreds and both kids loved them. On the way in the ticket agent told Nila to smile and the butterflies would land on her hand. Half way through she turned to me with this grimmis on her face and said "I cannot keep smiling it hurts!" Jonas spent the whole time with his hand out saying "Come here butterflies". One actually did land on his finger and stay there for a full three minutes. Unfortunately Jason was off looking at something else with the camera so we have no photographic evidence. I tried to calmly alert Jason, but short of shouting there was no way to get his attention. The whole time Jonas kept saying "oooh! oooh!"
