Thirty Something

I turned 31 on the 24th and then had my 11 year anniversary at work today. Sarah made me a cake then we had a great dinner with friends Friday night while the kids crashed at the grandparents.

Below are a bunch of photos we have been lazy about posting since we got back from Florida, sorry they are a bit sparse on explanation. Jonas and Nila are both doing great.

Nila officially discovered the word "Why?" on my birthday. I came home and she was using it as a response to anything I said to her. Grandma Judy taught us a great "Why do you think." counter attack but it does not faze her. She is talking more and more and I love to have various random conversations with her about everything that she sees in the world.

Jonas is becoming more and more boy every day. He has always loved to throw and it use to be cute to see him try to hurl something and have it just go up and bonk him on the head but now he is getting some air and speed to his various weapons of choice and we are having a hard time keeping things on the ground. He has also officially said his first word and it is BALL. He says some other things but they are mostly forms of AHHHH with a bit of intonation to them that mean MORE, DOWN or BYE BYE.

Once again sorry for not posting more, we are still trying to get into a rhythm and stay one step ahead of the kids (they are teaming up now so this is getting more and more challenging.)

Thanks for all the birthday messages!

Grandma Judy heard about a bald eagle nest so we went out searching for it and happened accross Plow Day. Mr. Sawick came by on his hay wagon and asked if we wanted to go for a ride. Nila got to sit up front and hold the reins.

A man with his grandsons.

Nila walked up and asked me to read her the farside book she found. I need to say that they really loose a bit when they all need to be explained to a three year old.

Nila taking her baby out for a walk.

Jonas fell on the way back and lost his shoe. He picked it up and cried in moms arms.
