Jonas pulled the Christmas tree over on himself tonight. I heard the crash and ran over to find the tree on the ground and no sign of Jonas. I stood the tree back up and he was sitting on the ground with a ornament in his hand crying. He just got a small scrape on his cheek. I turned the shower on in the bath for awhile tonight and Jonas loved trying to catch the water.

Jonas is crazy about the bath. We thought Nila liked the water a lot but Jonas almost has a baby heart attack when he hears the bath water going. He would splash in there until his little toes turned into raisins if we let him. He is also standing on his own now. This was a kind of limited thing until Friday night when he stood up in free air for about a minute.

After having her work in the kitchen all afternoon we set her down to finish painting her Christmas decorations (Its no free ride here!)

Nila helped Sarah make Creme de Mint squares for her friends at work tonight. Nila is a master mixer and spent over a hour in the kitchen helping Sarah.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving! We joined Phil and Cat at the annual Thanksgiving feast at the Emmanual Church. The food was great and it was a lot of fun as usual. Both Nila and Jonas are feeling under the weather, but they rallied for the Turkey and mashed potatoes.

Nila's hair is getting a little out of control...

With Nila we were super nervous that she would attack the tree our first Christmas so we didn't set the tree up until the last minute. And wouldn't you know it, she COMPLETELY IGNORED the thing. This is not the case with Jonas.

I had trouble putting the tree together and just put the top part on the bottom part until Jason could come home and fix the middle section (it was a bit bent and wouldn't fit together). So, anyways in the middle of all this Jonas woke up from his nap. I went up to get him and when I returned Nila had put up all the ornaments herself and used this white garland that I had been saving for something else, but that she had been eyeing all morning.

Getting ready for Christmas

The last week Nila, Jonas and I have been getting ready for Christmas. We decked out the house and put up the lights outside. Then on Wednesday we borrowed a fake tree from Pascal's Mom and even put up the tree. I know it is crazy to put everything up, just to take it back down in two weeks, but I love getting the house all trimmed out. It helps put me in the holiday spirit. Nila also has been busy making cards and other crafts for Christmas. Unfortunantly everything she makes is earmarked for her little best friend Tabitha. In a push she will also designate one or two things for her other friends Ava and Ella. She very sternly tells me "Don't touch Mommy, this is for Tabitha, this is not for you" Ouch!

Leaving France

Sorry we have not posted as much in the last two weeks as we normally have. There have been a lot of changes with my work over here and also with the situation back in the USA that has required a lot of bouncing around for us. We still do not know what city we will be living in come Jan 2009 and this is causing a little stress.

What we do know is that movers will be at our house in France December 11th and 12th to pack up our things and we are flying to NY to visit the Grandparents for 5 days on the 13th. After that we fly to GR on the 18th and then... Well we will keep everyone posted as we know more.

Jason - Sarah - Nila - Jonas

We had our first snow today.

Nila went out and played for awhile before church.

It reminded me of a scene from a Family Circus cartoon.

I got a Donkey Kiss on the hand.

Nila could have stayed here and watched these ducks forever. She loves ducks.

Sunday we went to Yvoir to exchange some wrong size glasses we got awhile ago.

It was cold out but Nila wanted some ice cream. She would take a bit of the vanilla then decide she wanted chocolate.

Then take a bite of the chocolate and switch back to the vanilla.

After making a Make Belive mess Nila went over and got a bib. Do you know how hard Piggy Oatmeal is to get out of donky fur?

Everyone at the table eatting dinner.
