Dr. Seuss

Nila got this great doctor kit from our good friends Pascal and Christine. She loves play with it. She gets it out and says. "Daddy you lay down right here and Nila is going to Dr. Seuss you" It is so so cute. After she "Dr. Seusses" me then she lays down and I need to check her out. Somehow a garden shovel has worked its way into the kit. Luckily I have not had any symptoms that have required the "Dr." to break out that tool yet.

She even has a little Dr. Nila name tag.

This does not hurt as bad as it looks.

It was funny because we were going through all our books getting ready for the big move and Nila took this first aid book over to the couch and spent about 20 min looking at it. She was yawning when I got this photo.

After our hike last Sunday nila thought she would carry her baby around in the backpack. We strapped her in but unless she was holding onto something she would just fall over backwards. She made a couple of laps around the living room holding laughing the entire way.... I do not know if the baby appreciated the ride.

Jonas Jonas Jonas

Today Jonas tried a cracker for the first time. He did okay with it, but needs a bit of practice chewing and swallowing. I also started him drinking from a cup. He did really well and Nila just loved the fact that he borrowed one of her cups. You can see Jonas' new front teeth - they are huge!

This little ball has a bell inside and Jonas was so delighted with it.

I thought the cow pies were all dry but after looking at Nilas shoes found that they were NOT!!!! So I pointed one out and told her what it was. For the next 30 min every 5 feet she pointed out "Look a little one Daddy"

"Look a big one Daddy"

"Another big one Daddy"

Soon the bear hunt turned to a cow hunt. Nila loved following the cow tracks through the woods...

We had GREAT weather Sunday so I took the kids out for a walk. Lots of Nila photos since Jonas was in the backpack the entire time. Sarah stayed at home and enjoyed a little kid free silance. We did three out and backs from the car because I kept thinking Nila would crash and I would need to carry her (and Jonas) back if we got to far away. I was really supprised though because she walked for over two hours with almost no stopping. She even ran the home stretch after climbing some big hills.

She loved jumping off the rocks. It only took her about 3.25 min to find a sutable stick for her walk.

Nila walking and saying "Going on a bear hunt".... This is what we call our walks in the woods...

Making Cookies

Nila, Jonas and I have been hanging around the house all day waiting for the washing machine repair man. Our washer has been down for two whole weeks so things are getting a bit desperate in terms of underwear and dish towels. Nila and I made oatmeal cookies...

Nila pulled out her play food and started making cookies too. This is her cookie receipe, 1/2 tomatoe, 1/2 pear and a piece of bacon....YUMMY!

Jonas loves the play food as he pulls everything out and explores it. He has been standing up on everything and for one brief moment even let go today. Unfortnantly he looks a bit worse for all this standing practice and now has LAYERS of bruises on his poor head.
