The last post of 2008. Nila is sleeping and Sarah and I will not be far behind. Sarah had a doctors appointment and ultrasound on the 26th. Everything looks good and we are still on for a Feb 12th baby. After the visit I talked to her and she said, " Everything is ok, the baby has HUGE feet and Beautiful lips". The baby is head down and Sarah got a good look at the feet that have been making those moving lumps on the outside of her stomach.

Our good Friend Jill also had a baby girl a couple of days ago. I will be pressuring her to start a blog now. Everything went great and I have to say she has the cutest baby I have ever seen.

See you in 2008

We ended up having a great time.

This is my last post for the day we are making a HAM for Christmas dinner and I am on table setting duty.

Merry Christmas

It took a couple of tries to get Nila interested in sledding. She liked pulling the sled more than riding in it. Towards the end she started to really enjoy herself.

We are still living in a world of fog so Nila and I took off and headed up a nearby mountain to get above it all.

Snow and sun.

Nila looks like a minature abominable snowman.

Nila with the stocking that GR Grandma made for her. I am probably going a bit overboard on posts this weekend but wanted to try and share as much as we can because we could not make it back this year.

I hope everyone enjoys their Christmas.

We need to make sure the baby gets a good breakfast to open presents. I do need to say that the baby was quickly forgotten when wrapping paper started to fly.

Nila was very happy to wake up this morning and see a bed from her GR Grandma for her baby to go "night night". Where did all these presents come from?

Pressing he cookie cutter was a big hit. Eatting the cookies was an even more popular affaire.

We let Nila open a present last night. Our landlords parents brought over two books for her yesterday. One is French words with pictures and sparkles. It was a immediate hit. I do not know if someone can write a book that would be more popular with her than one with sparkles and dogs.

Photos always turn out a little better when cookies are involved.

Nila was in a good mood last night.

Every once in awhile if her baby is acting up and needs to calm down Nila will sit down and read to her. She just flips through the book and babels away. This time she even had the book the right way up.

We still have crazy fog weather here. We have not seen the sun in over a week now.

Still trying to get a good Christmas photo. I think tomorrow is the day. I can feel it.

Cooking without "Help" has become nearly impossible. The sound of a dragging chair is common place now that Nila is getting bigger. I had the bag of carrots out and she pulled them all out and arranged them for me to get them ready for dinner. After they are all arranged she is thinking ... "Maybe I should just grab a knife and start chopping" We keep a close eye on her when she is in the kitchen with us and she is actually really good about staying away from the stove (HOT HOT HOT) and the knives (SHARP SHARP SHARP)

She is also in charge of cleaning up all the pealings and putting them in our bucket to give to goat, donkey and the chickens.

Nila is still not very happy about the whole Mommy disapearing lap crisis. Sarah jammed a ball in my shirt yesterday morning and Nila kept pointing and laughing and saying " BUMP ". This is her official word for baby 2.
