We are still having a hard time sleeping through the night. Nightmares or whatever no one in the house has gotten a full night sleep in close to two weeks. This morning she was up at 4am screaming like freddy kruger was in her bedroom. The one good thing about all this is that we can really accomplish a lot around the house between 4.30am and 10.00am.

We shall see how things go tonight.

Happy Thanksgiving, we where invited to a some friends church tonight for dinner, lots of great American Thanksgiving food.

Nila made a friend. They played on the stage crawling under peoples chairs for awhile.

She fell asleep in the car and was WAY ready for bed by the time we got home.
Hope everyone enjoys T-Day.

Nila has decided that sleeping through the night is for babies (and old people). For close to two weeks she has not made it one full night without waking up. This morning she made it until 5am. I finally got up with her and we hung out for awhile. So what does one do with a baby before 6am on a Thursday? Well we wrap up our baby dolls in napkins of course.

It was funny because we had two napkins and three babies so I told Nila to go in the other room and get another napkin. She started to walk out of the room and then turned around and said " ME ME NO" and waved her finger at me. I assume this meant " DON'T TOUCH MY BABIES" and off she went. I didn't know if she understood the whole get another napkin thing but sure enough she came running back with a third napkin seconds later.

We did some running around on Sat morning. She zonks out during every car ride now.

The French version of Home Depot has these cool car cart things. The last couple of times we have been here they where always being used but we scored one this time (Nila had to body slam a 1 year old for it.. (just kidding)). Nila was in heaven inside this thing during our trip. Life was good until we had to put it back and she saw another kid climbing into her ride. Sharing is difficult.

Nila emptied the silverware drawer with Sarah. She was able to get all the spoons on one side. She is "helping out more and more".

Tonight she even did the dishes. (This actually involves her taking a cup and dumping water all over herself but she thinks she is helping so we let it go.)

This is our happy happy baby at 10pm at night in the doctors office waiting room. They have these night pediatricians over here so we called and made an apointment after Nila just kept getting worse. So she is usually in bed by 7pm but after a small power nap and being put into a room full of cool toys she transformed from sick baby into LETS ROCK baby. Sarah and I are both exhausted after not getting full nights sleep for awhile and just watching her in amazement. The next day we both reveled that we where thinking the same thing.

We made this night appointment for our baby who we say is sick, then get to the doctor and she is running around laughing having a great time.

Well the doctor checked her out and gave us a list of prescriptions to fill. Her fever got up to 103°F (38°C) at one point. She is still coughing a lot today but her fever was below 101°F tonight and we hope that she will be back on the top of the world tomorrow.

Nila has been a little sick but has a bad cough tonight with a fever. She can not sleep since she is coughing so much and is burning up.

They have night doctors here and we made a apointment in a couple of hours to go and get her checked out. She is so exhausted and is trying to sleep next to Sarah on the couch. Hopefully she will start feeling better tomorrow.

After coughing in bed with us from 3.30 to 6 this morning Nila was up and at full speed. (Sarah and I on the other hand... Not so much) She Love Love Loves her oatmeal in the morning.

We woke up to snow this morning. Nila has not been sleeping thought the night the last 5 nights. Last night she woke up with a cough. This morning when I opened the shutters she just looked outside in amazement. She learned the word snow very quickly though (I believe that is mostly because of its close proximity to the word NO and that is something she can always get behind).

We are getting much more help around the house now. In the past Nila usually just took her toys and tried to see how evenly spaced she could get them throughout the house. Now she also helps us pick them up. Tonight after pulling all the petals off a flower she went and got the brush. (saying "brush, brush, brush, brush, brush" the entire trip to the pantry) and tried to sweep them up. She can also put her cloths in the hamper and help with laundry. (She is great at unfolding cloths)

She is also taking better care of her baby. Although her new method of baby transport is the wheel barrel. Tonight she was giving her some juice before bedtime.

Nila was in a great mood tonight. Lots of smiles.

She is becoming a toddler so so fast. Doors no longer stop her.

They call ATLAS an experiment and it is basically a 25 meter (150 feet) round tube of detectors. This thing is huge.
You can see some of the people on the other side.

It is a almost 30 kilometer (18 mile) round tube in the ground for smashing protons together at close to absolute zero (-459°F) and at speeds close to the speed of light then seeing what happens. This is one of the tubes down to the large experiment ATLAS.

Sarah and I next to ATLAS in our snazzy hats.

Six months ago Sarah tried to go on a tour of Cern to see the Large Hadron Collider. She was told that the next date availible for the tour was November 7th. She told me that I needed to take the afternoon off work and that we where going to go.

Today we went and it was very very cool.

After her bath I like to read Nila a couple of books. Tonight she ran and got one of her faves and got into the chair and started without me. If you give a mouse a cookie....

A couple of friends from work stayed with us Sunday. Nila got Ken to read her this book and then she was hooked. At dinner she brought the book over for him to read again then went and pushed her high chair next to his, climbed up in it and sat there waiting for the story to start. She made a new friend.
