Being around a baby every day is amazing, I kind of expected her to slowly learn things and advance but most of the time it is more like… couldn’t do it yesterday but no problem today. Just in the last three days she has really started to interact and play much more, I had a great time crawling around chasing her while she laughed Friday night. She is a fun little girl. Posted by Picasa

Nila did not know what to make of these fallen leaves. She just sat petrified for a bit then the grab and stuff instinct kicked in. The bottom photo is Sarah doing a emergency extraction. Fall is here, we have had great weather but fall is here. Posted by Picasa

Nobody was hurt in the taking of this photo... (She actually loves to fly around like this) Posted by Picasa

She has started to pull herself up this last week. She already has a small bruise on her nog from these adventures. She can not get up on both feet yet but two knees or a knee and a foot is not a problem. Our 100% tile apartment is not helping her out much either. The falls don’t seem to slow her down much; she is usually trying again before she even stops crying from the last fall. If this keeps up I am going to be looking for baby helmets on the internet soon... Posted by Picasa

Daddys head is a great drum. Posted by Picasa

We took Nila out for a walk today. We are still having great weather here. Posted by Picasa

Nila will stop at nothing to get this pan lid. It has a handle for gripping, is reflective on the top, and makes a killer noise when banged over and over on the tile... A babys best friend... Posted by Picasa

All three of us have a bit of a cough right now so we hung out inside today. This worked until about 4.30 when Nila started to get apartmented out so we went for a walk. Today was a picture perfect fall day. Posted by Picasa

For the last two months we have been saying “Any Day Now” for her new teeth to start coming in. Every night she is fussy… “Must be those teeth”.. When she leaves a trail of drool behind her wherever she crawls, “Two more will push through tonight”… But she is still hanging strong with her two bottom chompers. So… “Any day now”… Posted by Picasa

Our little wrecking ball is moving and shaking our apartment. Her favorite items to try to run down and eat are shoes and electrical cords. I am quickly coming to the conclusion that most toys are a waste of money. We put them all out and Nila crawls over all of them and twiddles with a DVD case for 20 min or lifts and drops the corner of the rug under our dinning room table for long lengths of time. I have found that if I want her to play with her actual toys I need to put them up on a shelf or peaking out from under the couch. This way she thinks that she is getting into something. At this point I can stay ahead of her but just barely.

I am also using bait and switch feeding methods. Ever since she has discovered fruits she just clamps down at meal time if you serve anything else. I am now going for the spoonful of apples, spoonful of chicken and peas. Nila is already catching on to this but I am staying ahead of her by making sure I use the same color containers and spoons for the two different foods.

Jason is hanging out with Nila today and that means PHOTOS...

She is really getting good at this whole crawling thing. The best part is that she heads STRAIGHT for everything she is not suppose to have or touch. We are thinking of attaching a bell. Before yesterday she could go from crawling to sitting every once in awhile but then yesterday afternoon she really started to get it down. Now she crawls to a new location and sits looking for her next item to attack. Its a great thing this "development".

Nila couldn’t take her eyes off this horse. If I got any closer I am sure she would have grabbed its nose and tried to stuff it in her mouth.

We took Nila out for a little hike this afternoon. She loves to ride along on these walks.

Sarah's hair is reaching record lenghts.

Everyone was tired on the way home so Nila drove for a little bit… Long day but great day.
