On the last day while walking back to the apartment a parade of music and large figures passed us. Walking through the old streets with this going on was surreal Posted by Picasa

Every Sat a large group of people gather in a large square and do a traditional dance. Everyone puts there bags and regular shoes (Because white keds seemed to be the shoe of choice) in the middle of the circle they are dancing in. Posted by Picasa

Since computers were not avalible he constructed his buildings with string and hung them upside down to look at how the loads would fall on the walls.  Posted by Picasa

At first we were not very excited about this but the tour ended up being great. I loved the building, it was very open and light even on this cloudy day. All the doors had some type of glass on them to transmit light into the building.  Posted by Picasa

This is a close up of one of the doors that go into the Gaudi Placa de la Sagrada Familia church. It is a huge church that is still being built. It is a one of a kind construction project. Rick Steves (our travel book guide) says that this building completed is on the top of his list of things to see before he dies.  Posted by Picasa

I have this things with doors over here now. They are so interesting. Posted by Picasa

5 Days in the south of France with the Marteux family

We drove to the south of France (like the rest of the people in the country) for 5 days (not like the rest of the people in the country who usually take 3 to 4 weeks in August) for some time on the beach. We camped, swam, walked on the beach, went on a sailing trip, finished some books, and relaxed in the sun.

It was a great time.

Our humble home for the week. The Kelty Green River 4 for all you tent geaks out there. Posted by Picasa
